What Does Smile Train do?
What are Clefts?
Clefts are gaps in the upper lip and/or the roof of the mouth (palate). They occur when certain body parts do not fuse together during the early part of pregnancy. Clefts can cause difficulties in eating, breathing, hearing, and speaking, among other complications.
