Dr. Baljit Singh

An alumnus of Government Medical College, Amritsar, and Dayanand Medical College, Ludhiana, Dr. Singh has more than 35 years of teaching experience and has published 166 articles in various national and international journals, besides chapters in various text books. Currently, he is Professor & Head of Anaesthesiology & Critical Care, Faculty of Medical Sciences, SGT University, Gurugram, Haryana. He has traveled extensively as an examiner and assessor for the National Board of Examinations and National Medical Commission and has delivered orations and guest lectures at various national and international conferences.
Dr. Singh has been a member of the Postgraduate Board of Studies of various universities and subject expert for the Union Public Service Commission as well as various state Public Service Commissions. He is the Convenor of the Specialty Board in the Subject of Anaesthesiology, National Board of Examinations, and has held prestigious positions in various professional bodies such as Member of the Governing Council and Vice President of the Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists. He is a founder and trustee of the Indian College of Anaesthesiologists and is a recipient of their Honorary Fellowship. He is the President Designate and Chief Executive Officer of the Indian College of Anaesthesiologists and has been the Director and Advisor of the Indian Confederation of Healthcare Accreditation. He has been actively involved in the management of chronic pain and introduced the pain management clinic at Lady Hardinge Medical College and at G B Pant Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, New Delhi, and SGT University.
