Dr. Puneet Batra has an MDS in orthodontics from the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS), New Delhi. He is presently a Professor and Director PG Board of Studies at Manav Rachna Dental College with nearly 20 years of teaching experience. He has also been the Editor of the Journal of Indian Orthodontic Society since 2018.
He is a cleft orthodontist at the Global Hospital and Research Centre, Mt. Abu, Rajasthan, and Sant Parmanand Hospital, New Delhi. He is the recipient of the PP Jacob award; the Indian Orthodontic Society’s JG Kannapan Award; the prestigious Commonwealth Scholarship at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children, London; and the TC White Award at Dundee Dental School, Scotland.
Dr. Batra has received degrees from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh and the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. He is a Diplomate of the Indian Board of Orthodontics (DIBO), DNB in orthodontics, has done PG diplomas in hospital management and medico-legal systems, and earned a certificate in oral implantology. He has more than 100 publications in peer-reviewed national and international journals and has been awarded fellowships by the Royal Colleges of Surgeons of Edinburgh, Glasgow, and England.
He is a member of Smile Train’s India Medical Advisory Council as well as Smile Train Research Innovation Advisory Council (STRIAC). He has also been recently certified in artificial intelligence and machine learning.
